DIY Chandelier From Baby Food Jars

Check out this idea for a beautiful chandelier using recycled baby food jars.

I found this beautiful baby food jar chandelier at Natural Home & Garden (unfortunately, I can no longer find the original post). This would go great in the dining room, breakfast nook, or even in an outdoor eating area.

If you don’t have any baby food jars there are several small jars on amazon that would be perfect for this project. For the metal straps, head on over to your local scrap yard for some cheap scrap metal, or purchase some metal strapping online.

To create the chandelier,

  1. Create circles with your metal strapping in your desired size. Weld, glue, or tape the ends together.
  2. Add some decorative craft wire around each jar.
  3. Attach some lengths of chain to your rings to hang your chandelier.
  4. Using more wire, hang your jars from the metal rings.

If you don’t want to use candles in your chandelier you could replace them with battery opporated tea light candles or some fairy lights.

  1. Love your baby jar chandelier project idea! . I say them too, for hardware and doo-dads, and even snowglobes. I also save the plastic containers for small amounts of paint for my craft and mural projects. Your have some great ideas!
    Have a happy summer! Linda
