?? Is the dish soap with vinegar for tile in the shower or for the glass door or both? Thanks for the great info!
Yes! You can use it on both.
I have a question : I used essential oils in my Jacuzzi tub which left small stains in the bottom of the tub. I have tried many different ways to remove them but so far no luck does anyone know what would work?
Magic eraser
Those magic erasers are amazing. Did you try the magic eraser and if so did it work?
thick paste of baking soda and water–not too wet or the baking soda won't scrub
Don't ever use Magic Erasers! I made the mistake (impulse shopping) of buying them and used it to take finger marks off doors, cupboards etc. They have formaldehyde and takes paint off. I wish I had known, I have to re-paint everything. I will never use them ever again. Baking soda is definitely the way to go!
Brenda, which "flavors" & brand of essential oils did you use in your tub? I do that too but haven't noticed any stains yet? I always add eos to Epsom salt first before dropping it into the water to help disperse it which keeps it from floating on top.
Pauline, what flavors and brand of essential oils do you use? I have not not that happen in my tub before, but I use Epsom salts & drop the eos into that first & then into the water so it disperses.
Try hydrogen peroxide it worked on my cast iron tub.
That's awesome!
So glad to have some of my tricks validated. My family thinks I'm trying to fool them! I have really hard water so have to use a stronger car cleaner/scratch remover/polish but the idea is the same. Be careful not to scrub too hard or without a soft cloth when using lemon, borax, or baking soda; they're very abrasive themselves. One tip to add: Spring cleaning brings windows to mind immediately. Acetone (from the hardware store not your nail kit) gets rid of residue, even from other cleaners, as well as hard water and it leaves a brilliant, streak-free shine!
With a dirt backyard and two dogs, my house gets pretty dusty. When I clean my baseboards and window sills, I use canned air (like you buy for computer keyboards) to get into tight areas, such as corners. 🙂
The only thing i have found that works on my underarm stains is Oxyclean powder in with the whites. 1 scoop every load with 1/2 cup of bleach. Try that too.
I think the point was to stay away from toxic cleaners
That's all that works for me too and I've tried everything!
Any suggestions about how to clean the caulking used in my shower? It used to be bright and white, but it is now dark. I have tried many cleaning products which have not helped. The caulking is only 4-5 years old. Please also send your reply to me at kathyestel[at]gmail.com. Thanks so much!!!
I used to have that problem-easiest solution I found was to just peel it off and put on fresh!
I use tilex for mold and mildew by Chlorex and use a toothbrush…not natural but it works!
Can you use baking soda and essential oil on a memory foam mattress? Or is it only good for conventional boxsprings?
I discovered that the Rust Stains on my Cutlery and any other Stainless Steel products, were coming from dishwasher detergents that have Lemon in them. When I stopped using dishwasher detergent with Lemon, voilà, No More Rust Stains 🙂 and all my friends agree with this too!!!
Have you imagined how useful can be cotton ear buds. Well they can wipe off dirt where normal cloth cant not reach.
The cotton makes them eco friendly. Therefore can be used anywhere. I hope this helps
Well these are very effective and helpful tips. Thanks for sharing this.
Use a fan cleaning brush and the dust falls to the ground, just vacuum it up.
Nice post!
Lemon and Baking soda is a very helpful things for many purposes, thanks for sharing the tips.
