Making the most of a small kitchen

The great thing about a small kitchen is that they are so easy to clean. However, they greatly lack in storage. If you have been blessed with a tiny kitchen here are a few tips to make the most of it and maximize your space.

Make some toe kick drawers to store sheet pans, cake pans, holiday platters.

These shelves can be easily installed inside your cabinets to hold spices. I also think they would be great for holding Tupperware lids and drink mixes. What would you use them for?

Who knew that you could use towel bars inside your cabinet doors? What a genius idea for storing lids.

Add mount strips inside a cabinet door to hold your measuring cups. I could also see this same method being used to hang large spoons, spatulas, whisks, and tongs.

Obviously this tutorial is used for a bedroom closet but can you imagine all the extra space you would have if you had this in your pantry? What would you store in it?

6. I made this drawer organizer last year and it has definitely been a sanity saver. I can't stand those store bought ones that never fit right and are always sliding around.  Drawer Organizer for Under $2 - DIY Home Sweet Home

  8. I love your ideas, too. I have to make your drawer organizer because my butter knives keep poking through the plastic ones I buy. It drives me crazy. Also, my kitchen is small so I end up storing a lot in the closet of a small bedroom. Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. We moved recently and my organizer does not fit in our drawers in the new house. It is driving me insane and I can't wait to make a new one. You'll have to let me know how your organizer turns out and feel free to share a picture on my facebook once it's done.
