5 Must Do Activities with the Kids this Summer

Go on a nature walk. Give them a challenge and see if they can find items on this free printable from Lakeshore Learning

Make some amazing bubble art such as these found at Junk in the Trunk.

Make some mud pies. You don’t have to have a fancy set up like this one found at Joyful Home(although it sure looks like fun). Just a couple old pots and pans would do the trick.

Make an outdoor activity jar. These rocks from KC EDventureshave pictures painted on them of different outdoor activities. Kids can close their eyes and reach into the jar to decide what they are going to play.

Teach them a lesson about the sun while you make these fun and simple sun prints found at A Mom With A Lesson Plan.

  1. Great post! These activities look like so much fun! I love the outdoors; from doing activities to just sitting around on outdoor furniture. The only problem is where I live is deep in mosquito territory so I need to use sector mosquito spray in order to keep them away. We also get a bunch of firefies, which are really cool.

  2. Once a week at our house is family movie night. Im always trying to upgrade our home entertainment system to make this experience a little better. I recetly bought an hd projector, which works great for movies. It's just one way we spend time together as a family. Thanks for the post.
