Creating Holiday Memories With Hiland Dairy

 

 

 

Every Christmas Eve my family enjoys a warm cup of hot coco while we decorate cookies for Santa. I’ve used many cookie and coco recipes but today I want to share a couple of my favorites.

The cookies and coco recipes that I am sharing with you today are a huge hit in my family. Hiland Dairy milk is the secret to making the the coco so creamy any rich. Hiland Dairy butter makes these cookies soft, chewy and perfect for decorating with icing and sprinkles or just eating plain.

Hot Coco

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbs coco powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 4 cups Hiland milk

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and place in saucepan. Stir over medium heat until desired temperature is reached.

Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350*.

Mix together eggs, milk, sugar, and butter.

In a separate bowl combine flour, salt, & baking power.

Add your dry ingredients to your sugar mixture and mix until combined.

Flour your work surface and roll out your dough to about 3/8 inch thickness.

Cut with cookie cutters and place on a lightly greased pan.

Cook for 12 minutes. Once done, transfer to a cooling rack.
