  1. If you add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to any cake mix, it will make it taste more like a home made cake and not from a box!!!!!

Too make a cake more moist --- add a box of instant pudding, and a cup of milk + that tsp. of vanilla!!!!! So moist, I have frozen the cakes untill needed and defrosted, added frosting and served, everyone thought I was up at am bakeing!!

  2. I have a couple of tips:
When you're finished blow-drying your hair, use your hair dryer as a leaf blower. Start at the top of the bathroom and blow dust out of ceiling corners, then do knick-knacks. Finish up by blowing all debris and hair on the floor into one corner and pick up with a damp kleenex. If you have a cool setting on your hair dryer - great. If not, still works great on the heat setting. It's better to put your bath rugs in the dry tub before blow drying your hair so that you don't have to work around them. Hair-free floor every time!
One more: Buy a new toilet bowl brush to clean your shower. Buy the kind that is like a large sturdy round bottle brush with the plastic handle. Just spray on your product, let it sit for a few minutes and scrub with the brush. It gets the grout clean too!

  3. The wooden spoon on a boiling pot works great, works even better if it is bamboo! :) Thank you for all the tips! Love it!

  4. I didn't see a way to comment on the picture itself, but you wanted to know if anyone had tried the wooden spoon on the pot to keep it from boiling over and if it worked... I did, and it didn't work for me. It might if it's just barely boiling enough to bubble up, but not a full on fierce boil.

  13. Jamie! I am so happy to have found you! Love, love, love all of your beautiful printables, and was hoping to put a little thought in your ear. I found you via a wonderful little site called Pinterest. You must be familiar... ya know, the source of everything cute and DIY and wonderful in the world? I'm well on my way to being their poster child, with my tiny Chicago apartment stocked full of crafts and clever ways to maximize 10 square feet, now I'm itchin for a way to organize all the crafts I am yet to accomplish, but genuinely plan on doing- because lets be honest, pinterest is as much diy as it is fantasy. I was wondering whether a project planning printable might be out there in diy hsh land? Or may be in the near future? I desperately want my project planning to match my binder!

    Thanks for being so wonderful!

    1. Sarah, since posting my organizing prinatbles I have received so many requests from my readers. I have a running list of ideas that I am working on. A project planning printable is one that I had not thought of but it is definitely something that I need as well. Thank you for the idea. I will add it to my list.
